Getting to Villefrance from the Airport

You can either Uber/Bolt or take the train. Taking the ride share is easier.

When you exit Customs, put in your ride request and it will guide you to the Ride Share parking lot (which is in front of the terminal, but across the road). Follow signs for the "Parking Pro" lot. (These pictures are from Terminal 1. Terminal 2 is similar.)

There are two options for where to get dropped off... Decide whether you want to deal with dragging your luggage along the cobblestones or carrying it up steps.

Cobblestones: Put in our property manager's address for the destination... 25 avenue Sadi Carnot

Steps: Put in our address for the destination... 58 rue du Poilu

If you decide to take the train from the airport (about 2 euros per person), head outside from the arrivals car and take the tram to the Grandes Arenas stop (free). Get off the tram and go up the big staircase to the Nice-St-Augustin train stop and buy your ticket for Villefranche.

BEWARE: This is a prime site for pickpockets. Ignore anyone who tries to "help" you or just say "NON" firmly.  Have one person purchase the tickets and the others can watch the luggage.

The train usually leaves from track 1 (voie). (Check that the train is going to Villefranche before boarding.)

Getting to the Apartment

Stop in the Casino market for some snacks and drinks for the apartment.

They're closed on Wednesdays and they close for "sieste" between 1-4 pm.

Address for ride share: 25 avenue Sadi Carnot (Riviera Holiday Homes)

From our property manager's office, put in our address (58 rue du Poilu) for walking directions.

The following pictures show the basic route you will take.

After Casino market, it is just another few blocks ahead to the apartment.

Address for ride share: 58 rue du Poilu

Since there are no cars allowed on our street, if you giver the driver our address, their GPS will probably lead them to the street down below. From there, you will have to walk up about 25 steps to our street. This can be challenging with suitcases - which is why some people choose to take the longer walk down the cobblestones.

You will likely get dropped off around here, just in front of the apartment (circled in the picture). The steps leading up to our street are just a little further down this road, past the apartment going towards the beach.

The steps are behind this wall. (Note: This enclosed area is where you can bring any trash or recycling.) When you get to the top of the steps, turn left and the apartment is just down the road a bit on your left.

The train station (gare) is a five-minute walk from the apartment. When you exit the train, go up the hill and just keep walking straight (away from the beach). The road curves a little to the right, but you’ll soon see a railing on the left with a view of the water and the apartment is right after it, on your left. (You can also put in walking directions: 58 rue du Poilu)
